The license for the Nub Agent applications — desktop clients and the Android APK — and how they relate to the Terms of Service.
Acceptance.
By installing or using any Nub Agent application — the desktop client or the Android app — you agree to this license and to the MaiaVM Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.
What the apps are.
The Nub Agent applications are companions to a private agent VM you subscribe to through MaiaVM. The apps themselves connect your device — phone or computer — to that VM over your existing account link (Telegram). They are interfaces, not the product you pay for; access to the service is governed by the Terms of Service.
License grant.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the applications on devices you own or control, solely to use them with the service. The software is licensed, not sold. You may not copy it for distribution, sublicense it, reverse-engineer it except where such restriction is unlawful, or use it to build a competing product.
Your VM, your content, your responsibility.
Conversations, files, skills, and configuration created through the apps live in your private VM and belong to you, exactly as under the Terms of Service. You are responsible for what your agent is instructed to do, wherever the apps let you instruct it — including from your phone.
Third-party services.
The apps rely on platforms we do not control — Telegram for account linking, push and OS notification services, Cloudflare, IONOS, and third-party model providers behind the scenes. Those platforms' own terms apply to their parts of the experience. If you obtained the Android app outside an app store (direct APK), you install it at your own election; keep copies only from official MaiaVM download pages.
Updates.
The apps may check for and offer updates. Installing updates is the normal way to stay compatible with the service; very old versions may be refused connection for security reasons. Material changes to this license are communicated like Terms changes — email or prominent notice — and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Billing.
The applications are free to download and use with an eligible subscription. Everything about pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds is governed by the Terms of Service; nothing in this license adds charges.
Disclaimers and liability.
The applications are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. AI output can be wrong or harmful — review it before relying on it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability connected to the applications is limited as described in the Terms of Service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including data loss on your device.
Termination.
You may stop using and uninstall the applications at any time; deleting your account ends the license. We may terminate licenses for accounts terminated under the Terms of Service, or if required to comply with law or protect the service.
Relationship to Terms; contact.
This license supplements the Terms of Service. For anything about the hosted service — accounts, billing, content, availability — the Terms of Service governs. Questions about this license should go to the contact address listed on the contact page.
